Bathroom renovation in Leipzig – one contact instead of five trades
We take on the whole bathroom: demolition, waste removal, walls and ceiling, fitting of furniture and mirrors. Tiling, screed and plumbing are carried out by a licensed firm that we hire, schedule and supervise on site.
What drives the price of a bathroom
A bathroom is the most expensive room in a flat: demolition, waterproofing, tiling, plumbing, electrics and ventilation all meet on five square metres. That is why a price per square metre says very little here. Three things decide the cost: what has to come out, what goes in, and whether pipes are moved.
In an old Leipzig building something unexpected shows up almost every time: a second layer of tiles, plaster that comes off with them, damp under the tub. That becomes visible during demolition, not on a photo — so we quote a fixed price after seeing the room and tell you beforehand what could still come on top.
- Remove old tiles — 15–20 €/m²
- Carry out and dispose of debris — 30–60 €/m³
- Prepare walls and ceiling: plaster 6–14 €/m², cladding 10–22 €/m²
- Fit sanitary ware: toilet 70–90 €, basin 40–60 €, tap 60–250 €
- New tiles on walls and floor — 25–40 €/m² and 30–40 €/m²
Who does what – said plainly
In Germany tiling, screed and work on water pipes require a master craftsman certificate. We do not have one and do not pretend otherwise. Instead we take the job as a whole and hire a licensed firm for those parts, agreeing the dates with them. For you it stays one contact, one schedule and one invoice.
We do ourselves
- Demolition: tiles, bathtub, toilet, old furniture
- Carrying out and disposing of debris — 30–60 €/m³
- Drywall: pre-wall, niche, ceiling cladding — 10–22 €/m²
- Plastering and painting — 6–14 €/m²
- Fitting mirrors, cabinets, shelves, silicone joints
Through a licensed firm
- Plumbing: pipes, drain, connection points — 45–170 €
- Tiling on walls and floor — 25–40 €/m²
- Screed and waterproofing in the wet area
- Electrical work: sockets, lighting, fan
- Radiator and towel heater
You do not have to find that firm — we do. We get the quote, fit it into the schedule and are on site when they arrive. This is exactly where bathroom projects usually lose weeks if nobody coordinates them.
Three typical bathrooms
Shower only
Old tub out, shower enclosure in, wall tiles renewed in the shower area, the rest stays.
Full bathroom, old building
Everything down to the shell, new pipes through the licensed firm, pre-wall, tiles, furniture and lighting.
Refresh without demolition
New joints, tap and toilet replaced, ceiling clad, painting.
Between waterproofing, tiling and silicone there are waiting times nobody can shorten. That is why a full bathroom rarely takes less than two weeks, even though the actual work is six to eight days. Knowing this in advance, you can arrange a shower elsewhere and stay relaxed.
