Kitchen fitting in Leipzig — we assemble it for you
A kitchen run up to three metres we fit completely for from €200 up to seven metres for from €350. By the hour we charge removal and assembly at €40 / 50/hr — we fit kitchens from any maker: IKEA, Nobilia, Möbel-Boss or bought second hand.
What really takes time when fitting a kitchen
The cabinets themselves are the easy part. The time goes on everything to do with the wall: in older buildings walls are rarely true, the tiled splashback sits at different heights, and the waste pipe is exactly where the base unit should go. That is why we ask for photos of the empty wall with the connections first — after that the price is fixed.
- Align base and wall units, including on crooked older walls
- Cut the worktop, openings for sink and hob — €150–300
- Fit the sink and connect it to existing outlets — €60–65
- Hob and oven to an existing connection — €45–70
- Plinth, trims, handles, extractor hood, light strip
- Dismantle and dispose of the old kitchen
What we do ourselves and what a licensed firm takes on
A kitchen brings together three trades: furniture, water and electrics. Furniture is ours. For new wiring, a three-phase connection or work on a gas line Germany requires a master-certified firm — we commission and coordinate it, so for you there is one contact and one appointment.
We do it ourselves
- Full assembly of all units, aligned and joined together
- Cutting and fitting the worktop — €150–300
- Sink and tap to existing outlets — €60–65
- Hob and oven into an existing existing socket — €45–70
- Extractor hood, plinths, handles, trims
Through a licensed firm
- New electrical line or three-phase connection
- New water and waste pipes laying
- Gas connection for a hob or cooker
- Laying a new tiled splashback
IKEA, Nobilia or second hand — what it means for the fitting
The manufacturer matters less for the price than the state of the wall. For the time it does matter: systems with a hanging rail go faster than wall units plugged in one by one, and a second-hand kitchen almost always brings extra work.
- IKEA Metod: rail on the wall, units hooked on — fast and straight
- Nobilia, Häcker, Möbel-Boss: standard sizes, assembly to plan
- A second-hand kitchen: the sizes rarely match exactly, trims and plinths have to be cut — here we charge by the hour at €40 / 50/hr
- Wooden and laminate worktops we cut on site
The most common expensive mistake: the kitchen is ordered to catalogue size, but the wall is 2.78 m instead of 2.80 m. Then a unit is left over or there is a gap. We measure before you order — it costs nothing and often saves several hundred euros.
Three typical kitchen fittings
Jobs as they actually come to us, so you know the order of magnitude before you ask. Labour only, without materials and appliances.
IKEA kitchen, 2.80 m, straight run
Rail up, units hooked on and aligned, worktop cut, sink and hob to existing connections. Done by the afternoon.
Kitchen with a corner, 6 m, old building
The wall dropped two centimetres over three metres. Base units levelled one by one, worktop adjusted on site, trims cut to fit.
Old kitchen out, new one in
In the morning the old kitchen came out and went with us, in the afternoon the new one went in. For a flat handover that matters: no gap between removal and fitting.
What has to be ready before fitting day
A kitchen can only be fitted properly once. These five things decide whether it works in a day:
- Connections are in place: water, waste, sockets, three-phase for the cooker
- The floor is finished — tiles or laminate laid, not afterwards
- All parts are there and checked once unpacked: a missing door takes two weeks
- The wall is measured and the kitchen fits to the centimetre
- Appliances ready, manuals beside them
Tiling first means paying twice: nobody ever sees the tiles behind the wall units, and the cut along the worktop turns out less precise. Kitchen first, then the splashback — laid by a licensed firm that we coordinate.
